(Arlington, VA) – September 29, 2010 – STARS COME OUT FOR ARLINGTON’S PLANETARIUM on Saturday, October 16, 2010 from 7:30 to 10:00 p.m. at the Washington-Lee High School Auditorium, located at 1301 N. Stafford St. in Arlington VA. Doors open at 7 p.m.
Top-notch indie & eclectic performance groups guarantee guests a sparkling musical extravaganza that benefits the renovation of Arlington’s David M. Brown Planetarium. Congressman Jim Moran and former NASA astronaut, Bill Readdy are scheduled to speak. Ray Anderson, former HB Woodlawn Principal, will emcee the event. This community-based fundraiser show-cases local Arlington performing groups & is billed as a rollicking good time for everyone.
Performing groups include Yorktown Yahoos, Arlington’s Children’s Spanish Chorus, HB Woodlawn Teachers, Arlingtones’ Barbershop Quartet, Frau Eva, and Koshari. The Yorktown Yahoos will be on-stage welcoming early arrivals with their Bluegrass tunes at 7:15 p.m.
View the October sky through a telescope before and after the show (weather permitting), purchase a “Save the Arlington Planetarium” T-shirt or bumper sticker, and (with luck) win a door prize.
Plenty of free onsite parking in the county parking deck/garage adjacent to W-L High School. Enter the building through Entrance #5 (nearest to the parking garage).

I am so proud to see this concert come together as it has. I will be watching for another star on stage. My little girl along with her Amigos in the Arlington’s Children’s Spanish Chorus. Parents will not want to miss this!
